It’s been a few days since I intended to post, so I have some catching up to do.
On the 7th, we visited the Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park and saw the Manatee, Pink Flamingos, River Otters and finally some Alligators! We got our walking in for the day, and then we met up with a golfer friend (Bonnie Koetting) from Sainte Genevieve, MO at Charlie’s Fish House. Thanks to our blog, Bonnie saw that we are in Homosassa where she is also staying. Small world!
Yesterday we met back up with Bonnie for a round of golf and a late dinner at The Monkey Bar over in Old Homosassa (overlooks Monkey Island). Golf was interesting… We spotted several alligators (large and small). I would have gotten closer for better pictures, but I bet those critters could outrun me and I didn’t want to take the chance!
We have been riding our bicycles and walking around the RV park and this afternoon we lounged outside in our zero gravity chairs with an adult beverage.
I am also very happy to report that we now have reservations made through July 7th covering Florida (all the way to Key West), Kentucky, and South Carolina. Additionally, I think we have an idea of how the rest of the year might look, but more on that later.
This is so cool Dorothy. I may never get to travel like this, but I appreciate you including me in yours.
Take care.

Flamingos, manatees, alligators, OH MY! I guess you’re not in Kansas anymore, Dorothy! Although it feels like I’m knee-deep in alligators sometimes, it’s always interesting to “go along for the ride” with you guys. Enjoy!

Dorothy, you’d be better off hopping on top of one of those alligators and hang on!
You’re a tough little cookie. Can’t wait to tell you some details about some coastal South Carolina State Parks. Talk to you soon. Thanks for the blog….
