Travel plans don’t always go the way you think they will. Last week we bought the new RV. It’s beautiful, but instead of playing at the beach and exploring Sanibel Island, we ended up moving and doing things related to setting up our new home.
We did drive the short distance to Sanibel one evening for dinner at Doc Ford’s. They charge a $6 toll to get on the island (no charge to leave). The bridge and bay are just beautiful. We saw little of the water/beaches. Mostly saw little shops and restaurants along the road. The only chain restaurant on Sanibel is a DQ that has been there forever.
Some day I’d like to visit again and see more, but for now, we are happy to be at our next destination, which we arrived at yesterday evening. I’m going to stop here and keep you in suspense for a few days…
As always, we hope the blog is enjoyable to read and your heart is full.

Ken and I travel full-time in our motor coach throughout the United States. We have traveled along the Gulf of Mexico down to Key West and from Key West north along the East Coast all the way to Bar Harbor, Maine. We spent seven months in Southwest Texas right on the Rio Grande and from there we traveled to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon before heading back to our home state of Missouri. After a brief visit with family and friends we headed back to Florida and then we volunteered at the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge in Southeast Georgia. The story didn’t end there because as of this writing we have visited all except three states. We went to Glacier National Park, Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons, and Death Valley National Park. We have continued our volunteer service by adding another winter at Okefenokee, a short stint at Bon Secour, and a winter at A.R.M. Loxahatchee NWR. Summer 2020 finds us in the Missouri Ozarks and we are still loving life. We have much more in store, so please stay tuned as we continue to travel across this beautiful country of ours!

I see a big old smile on your husband’s face that I hadn’t noticed before. Must be the new “rig”. I hope it is working out well for you guys. The pictures look beautiful and I bet the weather is wonderful. Here at Jeffco we are gearing up for the commencement slated for Saturday. I bet you don’t miss this part! Joel Speth.
