As we travel around the country and meet and work with new people, we exchange thoughts and ideas with them.
We share stories from our past experiences, travels and adventures, including where we were educated, worked and lived. Family history, birth place, schools attended, how long we’ve been married, whether we have children, grandchildren, pets, and every other data point that you can imagine.
As I ponder this, I realize that at my early age of now just 62 years of age, I have a vast array of knowledge and information to share and much more to learn.
In this, one might say that we are subject matter experts. Isn’t it a glorious thing when we can match up our memories, both good and not so good, to conversation with others to keep the discussion flowing and develop relationships, no matter how brief, with folks from around the globe, near and far?!
This is just one reason that I believe that Ken and I are enjoying our travels so much. Wherever you are during this holiday season, and whoever you find yourself engaging with, remember to be kind and listen. You never know what story you might hear that could brighten your day or someone else’s.
This Christmas, Ken and I wish you the merriest of moments from the Okefenokee Swamp! 🎄🎁🎅🏻
